Packaging specialist RPC Superofs has scored gold with a limited-edition 50th anniversary pack for French indoor paint brand, Cofabril.

Having supplied French professional painters with Cofabril since 1966, Zolpan, which owns the brand, decided to produce a limited-edition pack in a golden SuperLift Extra container from RPC Superfos.

Zolpan’s graphic design agency came up with artwork comprising a background of golden waves, but the test results with offset decoration did not work.

RPC Superfos suggested In-Mould Labelling (IML), where the Pantone colour system was replaced with metallic colours.

Marion Masse, communications executive with Zolpan, said: “We’re pleasantly surprised to see how well our anniversary pack in golden shades now looks, thanks to the advanced IML technique applied by RPC Superfos.

“They’ve given us excellent advice and we’ve felt absolutely well guided throughout the project.

“The container looks magnificent and we really like the final result. It’s an appropriate way of celebrating our golden anniversary with one of our most popular products.”
